Job Description::

1. Commercial

a) Responsible for sales and marketing functions in the assigned Area.
b) Managing channel partners i.e. Dealers/Distributers/PDs who are serviced by Sales Officers (SO).
c) Assessing credit worthiness of the parties who are recommended by the SO.
d) Fixing the credit limits of the parties based upon the judgment and analysis of the assets, market reputation and track record of the party.
e) Make constant effort to motivate the traders to be associated with us and to ensure that the business volume grows continuously.
f) Trade is motivated to achieve the sales targets to be eligible to get all the benefits of tour schemes, pointer schemes and annual volumes.
g) To train the marketing staff, reporting to him on collections of receivables of over-due Outstanding.
h) Analyze the Parties on ABC analysis of the contribution to the organization in terms of the profits that we generate out of each account for life line sales payments record and the volume business.
i) To make assessment for adding or deleting parties in relation to market size, requirement of network and individual parties assessment towards contribution to the company.
j) To collect information on price and trade policies of the competitors in the territory. To make comparison of our pricing structure vis--vis competitors.
k) To put in efforts of realizing higher NRV of our products, by striking a balance of volume with price.

2. Marketing


a) Maintain liaison with research scientist of ARS, KVK, Agriculture Universities and also working with State Agriculture Officers to promote products to farmers.
b) Motivate Marketing Officer for proper use of POP/POS material such as posters, buntings, danglers, balloons, wall paintings, tractor trolley painting and dealer boards to create mass awareness in the territory.
c) Compilation of data on competitor activities , product on active promotion, farmer practices, cropping area and industry size through completion of district profile which is to remain updated. This district profile is prepared by Marketing Officer but the facilitation is to be done by Area Marketing Manager.
d) To monitor preparation of farmer data bank by involving Dhanuka Doctors and Field Supervisors who are engaged on seasonal basis for product promotion through extension.

3. Extension & Development

a) To monitor Sales Officers working by devoting time with them with trade and in the fields. Also to see that the reports are thoroughly read with proper analysis of their working in line with the instructions given by the Area Managers keeping organization norms in mind.
b) To monitor demonstrations of products in farmer field, which are on active promotion campaign.
c) To participate in village, farmer, dealer meetings for ensuring that these meetings are being organized for improving our grip in the area. 
d) To train the field force by demonstrating, guiding on various aspects of extensions so that they learn how to do these in the correct manner. 

4. Man Management & Supervisory Role 

a) Training and grooming the sales staff reporting to him.
b) Monitoring the staff and to ensure that they work as per norms.
c) Approving ATP of the staff reporting to him.
d) Checking all the TA/DA bills of the staff reporting to him.
e) To ensure that the productivity per person and per territory is improving on continuous basis. 
f) To be part of man power hiring for FS & DD positions.
g) To ensure that each marketing staff is able to earn incentive and achieve their sales targets & KRA.

5. General 

a) Should keep himself available for any activity assigned by the HOD or any other competent authority

a) Excellent Communication Skills (Verbal and Written)
b) Must possess good Persuasive skills
c) Must be highly Analytical and possess Commercial acumen.
d) Should have good IT skills (complete MS Office and Internet)
e) Good Leadership Skills
f) Must be open to relocation
g) Should have own vehicle & Valid Driving License. He must be ready for extensive driving.
