To render primary care of medical, surgical and obstetrical cases of about 7000 population living on the estates ,along with other medical officers.
To manage major and minor surgical and medical emergencies or atleast be confident to stabilize the patient and refer to a higher center in due time.
To maintain cordial relationship with the patients, sub-ordinate staff, colleagues and the management.
To maintain a rapport with the specialists in the higher centres Coimbatore / Pollachi so as to get prompt support in emergencies.
To maintain community health and supervise the supply of potable water to the population.
